If u downloaded a fresh copy
of opera 2.06, the only thing
you have to edit is the opera
server. You can
find it by pressing #8 on your
opera screen. just edit opera
sever from

wap.ng.zain.com.Remember
to uncheck the opera server
under the opera server-it is
very important.
ACTIVATION OF YOUR
PHONE FOR NORMAL
BROWSING.(Activation of
GPRS)
However, I want to clarify
some issues here, you must
have
Your MTN sim card activated
by typing: SETTING in your
Message box and send it to
3888 before you will be able
to browse.
When you receive the setting
from MTN, save it by pressing
YES, YES to each question
being asked by your phone.
Then
you can now re-configure
with
the settings I made available
to you.
Note: To activate the Zain
sim, type WAP and send it to
232
or possibly type “Internet
Phone Maker Phone Model”
and send
to 232. Example: “Internet
Nokia N70” to 232. You can
also
visit any Zain office for
activation.
Manual Zain GPRS Activation
1. Go to your phone setting
and locate
Configuration.
Check on Personal
Configuration. Create New
Profile by
Clicking Option.
2. In the Account Name,
type Zain; Homepage,
type http://wap.ng.zain.com
3. After typing, click OK.
Username is: wap;
Password:
wap.
4. In the User Preferred
Access Point, select
NO.
Access Point: click OK.
Proxy: select Enable. Proxy
Address:
type 172.254.018.005. Proxy
Port :
8080.
5. Data Barrier: select
Packet Data. Then
bearer
Setting: select OK. Access
Point: type
wap.ng.zain.comand
Click OK. Network Type:
select IPV4. Authentication:
select
NORMAL. Username: wap and
Password: wap.
6. Or visit:
dmc.ng.zain.comfor online and
immediate
Activation.
7. If nothing happen, you
can visit any Zain
office to
Buy a fresh line and activate
the GPRS immediately.

from MTN. In that case u
have to do the activation
manually as below:
-Press the menu key, select

-In the list, scroll down to

-select {change},press

point},follow the arrow and
select {use default
settings}
-Enter the following
confirmations:

User preferred access point:
select NO access point
Proxy: select ENABLED
Data Bearer: Select PACKET
DATA or GPRS depending on
phone type.
Bearer setting: select OK
